Florence Caldwell Achievement Scholarship Program

The Florence Caldwell Achievement Scholarship Program awards are sponsored by Mines, in cooperation with the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, to three incoming first-year female students at Mines each year. Applications are available in mid-December.

The Florence Caldwell Achievement Scholarship covers tuition, books, and fees for four years and is valued at approximately $48,000 over this period of time. The Grace McDermut Scholarship covers tuition and fees for four years and is valued at approximately $44,000. The Ninetta Davis Scholarship covers tuition for four years and is valued at approximately $40,000.

Scholarship Application Criteria

  • Must be a Colorado resident
  • Must be female
  • Must plan to attend CSM beginning the fall semester after graduation
  • Must have at least a 3.8 GPA, be in the top 5% of class, and have an ACT composite score of 30 or SAT Critical Reading and Math combined score of 1320
  • Must be accepted to Colorado School of Mines
