ASSISTANT BASEBALL COACH
Will Quaglieri begins his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Colorado School of Mines in 2008. Quaglieri will focus his efforts with the Oredigger pitching staff. Quaglieri began his collegiate career at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2000 and 2001) before transferring to Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles. Following his graduation from Loyola Marymount in 2004 (bachelor's degree in Business Administration), Quaglieri signed a free agent contract with the New York Mets. Quaglieri competed for three affiliates in the Mets' minor league system in 2004 and 2005 (Gulf Coast Mets, Kingsport Mets and Brooklyn Cyclones). A 1999 graduate of Bishop Manogue High School in Reno, Nevada, Quaglieri was selected as the 3A Nevada Player of the Year after leading the Miners to a state title during his senior campaign. Quaglieri also garnered First Team All-Conference and Honorable All-State recognition during his prep career. Quaglieri and his wife, Kelly, currently reside in Aurora. |
