MEN'S BASKETBALL WINS TWO AT OWN CLASSIC

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team won a pair of games at its own BEST WESTERN CENTRAL DENVER/MILE HIGH INN AND SUITES CLASSIC over the weekend at Volk Gymnasium.

The Orediggers (3-0) knocked off Southwest Baptist, 79-68, on Friday night and took care of Minnesota State-Moorhead, 73-51, on Saturday evening.

In Friday's game, senior guard Stephen Bahl (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield) tallied 25 points to lead the way. Junior guard Kevin Wagstaff (Colorado Springs, Colo./Rampart) added 21 points, while freshman forward Ben Mohr (Colorado Springs, Colo./Palmer) posted 10 points and six rebounds.

In Saturday's win, Bahl again led the way with 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Sophomore guard Franklin Ryk (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) tallied 11 and sophomore forward Davey Iverson (Winnett, Mont./Winnett) scored 16.

Mines will return to action two times this weekend at Nebraska-Omaha. On Friday, CSM will play South Dakota at 3:00 pm and on Saturday, the Orediggers will play the host school at 8:00 pm.
