MINES MEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATS COLORADO CHRISTIAN, 86-75

GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines sophomore forward Davey Iverson (Winnett, Mont./Winnett) scored a career-high 20 points in just 22 minutes of action off the bench to lead the Orediggers to an 86-75 victory over Colorado Christian in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action Tuesday night in Volk Gymnasium.

CSM trailed 32-24 with five minutes to play in the first half, but closed the half on a 16-6 run to claim a 40-38 lead at halftime and never relinquished the lead in the second half.

Mines senior guard Stephen Bahl (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield) added 20 points and five rebounds after he was honored in a pregame ceremony to commemorate his 2,000th career point scored in Saturday's win over Chadron State. Junior guard Kevin Wagstaff (Colorado Springs, Colo./Rampart) chipped in 18 points and four assists, while senior forward Farris Broussard (San Jose, Calif./Independence) finished with eight points, five boards and five assists.

CCU (18-6, 10-6 RMAC) was led by Brent Hobba who scored a game-best 27 points on 12-of-19 shooting and added nine boards. Matt Vaughn tallied 14 points and five assists and Ash Cannan posted 12 markers.

CSM (16-8, 10-6 RMAC) returns to action Friday night when it plays at Nebraska-Kearney. Tipoff is slated for 8:00 pm.
