MINES MEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS AT CSU-PUEBLO, 67-63

PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado State-Pueblo ended the Colorado School of Mines men's basketball teams five game winning streak with a 67-63 win at Massari Arena in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action Thursday night.

CSM trailed 34-24 at the half, but managed to cut the lead to 58-55 with less than three minutes to play, but a four-point play by Mario Chavez gave the Thunderwolves a 62-55 lead and they managed to hold on for the win.

Mines senior guard Stephen Bahl (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield) scored a game-best 21 points, while junior guard Kevin Wagstaff (Colorado Springs, Colo./Rampart) added 12 and senior forward Farris Broussard (San Jose, Calif./Independence) 10.

CSU-P (7-7, 2-4 RMAC) was led by Brian Vecchio who totaled 21 points.

Mines (11-4, 5-2 RMAC) returns to action next Friday (Jan. 21) when it hosts Regis at 8:00 pm in Volk Gymnasium.
