MINES MEN'S BASKETBALL TOPS MONTANA TECH, 83-52

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team placed four players in double figures and claimed an 83-52 victory over Montana Tech in nonconference action in a Friday night New Year's Eve tilt in Volk Gymnasium.

Senior guard Stephen Bahl (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield) led the attack with 24 points and four assists, while junior guard Kevin Wagstaff (Colorado Springs, Colo./Rampart) added 16 points, five assists and three boards. Senior forward Farris Broussard (San Jose, Calif./Independence) registered 11 points and a game-best nine boards and sophomore forward Davey Iverson (Winnett, Mont./Winnett) chipped in 13 points and four rebounds off the bench for the Orediggers, who led 42-20 at halftime.

Montana Tech (5-10) received 17 points and five boards from Kenney Herbst off the bench.

CSM (8-3) will return to action Monday when it hosts Bethany at 4:00 pm in Volk Gymnasium.
