ASSISTANT MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH
JAMIE STEVENS

The 2006-07 season marks the sixth year for Jamie Stevens as an assistant basketball coach at Colorado School of Mines.

During his first five seasons with the program, Stevens has worked with the guards and has been instrumental in helping Mines have the 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2005-06 RMAC Freshmen of the Year in guards Stephen Bahl, Kevin Wagstaff and Kyle Pape.

Stevens is a 1994 gradute of Grants Pass High School in Grants Pass, Ore., and a 1999 graduate of Montana State Univeristy-Billings where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History and received his Masters of Science in Sports Management in 2001.

He was recruited to play basketball at Montana State University-Billings by current Mines Head Coach Pryor Orser. As a player, Stevens set MSU-Billings school records for assists in a game (16), career (813), and steals in a career (167).

Stevens began his coaching career at Wilsonville High School where he served as the assistant baseball coach and the head junior varsity baseball coach for one year. He then moved on to become a graduate assistant coach at MSU-Billings.

Stevens resides in Byers with his wife, Sarah, and their daughter, Clara, who will be two in December.
