MINES WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WINS AT COLORADO CHRISTIAN, 54-50 LAKEWOOD, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines women's basketball team improved to 14-6 overall and 8-4 in conference play with a 54-50 win over Colorado Christian Tuesday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action at Cougar Fieldhouse. CSM was led by junior center Ashley Gronewoller (Pagosa Springs, Colo./Pagosa Springs) who scored a team-high 14 points and added a game-best eight rebounds. Senior guard Heather Hoops (Golden, Colo./Wheat Ridge) was the only other Mines player to register double digits with 13 points. CCU was paced by Sara Davis who scored a game-high 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting. Mines is slated to return to action Saturday night when it hosts Nebraska-Kearney at 6:00 pm in Volk Gym. - OREDIGGERS -- |
