MINES WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WINS AT CHADRON STATE, 68-51 CHADRON, Neb. - Colorado School of Mines junior center Ashley Gronewoller (Pagosa Springs, Colo./Pagosa Springs) tallied a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds and senior guard Gina Cornelio (Tucson, Ariz./Sal Pointe) added nine points and a game-high 10 boards to help the Oredigger women's basketball team snap a two-game losing streak with a 68-51 victory over Chadron State in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action at Armstrong Building Thursday night. The win improves CSM to 13-5 overall (7-3 RMAC), while the Eagles drop to 4-14 overall and 3-7 in conference play. Mines shot 48 percent (25-52) for the game and limited Chadron to just 28.8 percent (15-52) shooting from the floor. CSM senior guard Kim Kilmer (Stoneham, Colo./Prairie) added 11 points and eight rebounds and senior guard Heather Hoops (Golden, Colo./Wheat Ridge) chipped in 11 markers and dished out five assists. The Eagles were led by Bec Kyba who totaled 14 points and three rebounds. Mines is slated to return to action on Saturday night when it plays at Fort Hays State.
