MINES WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LOSES AT NEBRASKA-KEARNEY, 73-62

KEARNEY, Neb. - The Colorado School of Mines women's basketball team placed four players in double figures, but it was not enough as the team fell at Nebraska-Kearney, 73-62, in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action Friday night at the Health & Sports Center.

CSM (17-8, 11-6 RMAC) received 12 points and seven rebounds from senior forward Kristin Horkey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins). Senior guard Kim Kilmer (Stoneham, Colo./Prairie) added 10 points and seven boards, while junior center Ashley Gronewoller (Pagosa Springs, Colo./Pagosa Springs) scored a team-high 15 points and senior guard Gina Cornelio (Tucson, Ariz./Sal Pointe) added 10 markers.

UNK (12-12, 10-6 RMAC) was led by Kalee Modlin who produced a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Mines will return to action next Friday when it plays at Metro State at 5:00 pm.
