WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS TWO AT OWN CLASSIC

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines women's basketball team losts a pair of games at its own BEST WESTERN CENTRAL DENVER/MILE HIGH INN AND SUITES CLASSIC over the weekend at Volk Gymnasium.

The Orediggers (1-2) fell to Wayne State (Neb.), 55-50, on Friday evening and dropped an 81-54 contest to Northern State on Saturday.

In Friday's game, CSM was paced by sophomore forward Angela Pearson (Arvada, Colo./Maranatha) who tallied 11 points and eight boards off the bench. Junior center Ashley Gronewoller (Pagosa Springs, Colo./Pagosa Springs) added eight points and seven rebounds and senior guard Kim Kilmer (Stoneham, Colo./Prarie) contributed eight points and six boards.

In Saturday's loss, freshman guard Emily Przekwas (Littleton, Colo./Bear Creek) led the way with nine points, while Gronewoller added seven points and eight rebounds.

Mines will return to action on Dec. 1 when it hosts Bemidji State at 7:00 pm in Volk Gymnasium.
