MINES WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATS COLORADO COLLEGE, 69-48

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines women's basketball team improved to 12-3 overall and tied its victory mark of last season with a 69-48 win over Colorado College in nonconference action Monday night in Volk Gymnasium.

CSM sophomore center Angela Pearson (Arvada, Colo./Maranatha) led her squad with a double-double effort of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Senior guard Kristin Horkey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins) added 14 points and five boards, while senior guard Kim Kilmer (Stoneham, Colo./Prairie) also reached double figures with 10 points.

Freshman guard Emily Przekwas (Littleton, Colo./Bear Creek) performed well in 19 minutes off the bench as she finished with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

CC (3-12) was led by Liz Kolbe who produced 19 points, four rebounds and three steals.

CSM returns to action Friday night when it hosts Regis (12-3, 7-0 RMAC) at 6:00 pm in Volk Gymnasium.
