ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH JAFAR TABAIAN
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Jafar Tabaian is entering his third season as the wide
receivers coach with the Colorado School of Mines football team.
Tabaian is a 2000 graduate of Colorado Mines with a Bachelors of
Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to arriving at Mines,
Tabaian played football at Fairview High School in Boulder, Colo.
As a wide receiver at Mines, Tabaian lettered three times, including the
2000 season under current Head Coach Bob Stitt.
In his first two seasons as an assistant coach with the Orediggers, Perkins
has helped a group of Oredigger receivers haul in 434 passes for more
than 6,000 yards and 52 touchdowns. In addition, he helped in the development
of two All-RMAC honorees, and All-Region and All-American pick Brian Sump
in 2002.
Tabaian currently works as a consultant.
