ASSISTANT SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR
LORI WALKER

2007-08 will be Lori Walker's third year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Colorado School of Mines.

Walker came to CSM from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2004.

At CSM, Walker assists with the promotion of the 18-sport athletics program through the production of media guides, game programs, statistics, game notes and the athletics website. Her main focus is on men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field, men's and women's swimming & diving, women's basketball and softball.

While at Western State, Walker served as an intern in the SID Office. She was also the Sports Editor of Western State's school paper, The Top of the World, for two years. Walker ran for the Mountaineers' cross country and track teams. During her four years of running, Walker was a two-time All-American in track in the Steeplechase and a member of two National Championship Cross Country teams (2001 and 2002).

A native of Colorado, Walker resides in Henderson with her husband, Patrick, and the couple's one-year-old daughter, Maddyn. The couple is expecting their second child in the spring of 2008.
