FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mines softball ranked sixth in the South Central Region
GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines softball team is currently ranked sixth in the South Central Region, as announced yesterday by the NCAA Division II Softball Committee. The Orediggers are currently 34-16 overall and are sitting in first place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) with a 24-10 conference record. Mines is scheduled to conclude the regular-season portion of its 2008 schedule by playing a four-game RMAC series at Regis University on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 26th and 27th, at Regis Field in Denver. Saturday's games are slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. while Sunday's doubleheader is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. The RMAC Softball Tournament is scheduled to be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 1st, 2nd and 3rd (site is yet to be determined).
