GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's and women's cross country teams had three combined individuals named to the 2007 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Cross Country Teams, as announced on Monday afternoon by the USTFCCCA.

Aaron Swift and Clifton Oertli were named to the men's team, while Sydney Laws qualified for the women's team. To qualify for such honors, a student-athlete must have completed 24 semester hours and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The athlete must also finish in the top 30 percent of individual participants at their respective regional cross country championships.

Both men were members of the CSM men's cross country squad that earned a seventh-place finish at NCAA II Nationals. Swift finished 50th at the Division II Nationals and holds a GPA of 3.899, while Oertli earned All-Region honors in 2007 and has a GPA of 3.6.

Laws, who owns a 3.83 GPA, finished 38th overall at the NCAA Division II women's regionals last fall.
