Nick Kubala Earns Defensive Player of the Week Honors
GOLDEN, Colo. - It was announced by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Tuesday afternoon that Mines defender Nick Kubala is this week's RMAC defensive player of the week.

Kubala earns the honor after he helped lead his team to two wins to open up the 2007 season this past weekend. Kubala ended the weekend with two goals and one assist.

Mines beat the University of Mary on Friday night 5-0. Kubala had a goal and an assist in this game. Sunday, the Orediggers beat Westminster College 3-2 while Kubala scored Mines' first goal which tied the game up at one.

The Orediggers will return to action with their first home game of the season on September 5th against Colorado Christian.
