Kaity Edmiston

GOLDEN, Colo. - Two players from the Colorado School of Mines volleyball team have earned post-season honors from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, as announced today by the RMAC.

Kaity Edmiston, a 6'0" sophomore middle blocker from Palisade, Colo. (Palisade High School), was named Second Team All-RMAC after leading the Orediggers in solo blocks (25), block assists (96), total blocks (121), blocks per game (1.07), points (457.0) and points per game (4.04). Edmiston also finished second on the team in kills (376), kills per game (3.33) and hitting percentage (.253). A First Team Academic All-RMAC selection in 2007, Edmiston was one of three Orediggers to start all 31 matches and play in every one of CSM's 113 games this fall. As a freshman in 2006, Edmiston was selected as the RMAC's Pre-Season Co-Freshman of the Year before going on to earn Honorable Mention All-RMAC accolades.

A 6'0" senior middle hitter from Brighton, Colo. (Brighton High School), Nicole Leeper garnered Honorable Mention All-RMAC recognition while finishing third on the Orediggers in kills (188), kills per game (3.24), points (218.5) and points per game (3.77) this season. Leeper also hit .303 at the net in 2007, which proved to be the highest single-season hitting percentage in program history (32 years). Leeper concluded her four years at Colorado School of Mines with 320 block assists, good for second all-time in the CSM career record book. In addition, Leeper's 999 career kills ranks her sixth all-time at Mines.
