MINES SWIM TEAMS COMPETE AGAINST COLORADO COLLEGE

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's and women's swimming and diving teams were in action Saturday afternoon against Colorado College. The Oredigger men picked up a 137-83 win, while the women fell, 147-131.

Leading the way for the women was freshman Renee Rainguet (Golden, Colo./D'Evelyn) who set a school-record with a swim of 1:09.58 in the 100 Breast. Rainguet also won the 100 Free (57.47)and the 400 IM (5:04.66).

On the men's side, junior Andy McAliley (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) captured three first place finishes as he won the 200 Free (1:47.93), 100 Free (48.94) and the 400 IM (4:23.64).

Both teams will return to action on Jan. 27 when they compete at Denver University.
