MINES SWIM TEAMS COMPETE AT DENVER UNIVERSITY

DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's and women's swimming and diving teams were in action Thursday night at Division I Denver University. The CSM men dropped a 141-94 decision, while the women lost 147-79.

Leading the way for the men's squad was junior Andy McAliley (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) who captured the only first place for CSM as he won the 400-Individual Medley with a time of 4:16.18. Freshman Renee Rainguet (Golden, Colo./D'Evelyn) led the women's team as she lowered her school-record time in the 200 Breast with a third place finish in 2:31.86.

Both teams are slated to return to action on Friday and Saturday at the CU Buff Invitational.
