CSM MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIMMING DEFEATS METRO STATE

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's and women's swimming and diving teams were in action Saturday afternoon against Metro State. The CSM men defeated the Roadrunners, 153-75, while the Oredigger women picked up a 118-92 victory.

Junior National Qualifier Travis Kummer (Erie, Colo./Niwot) led the men as he won the 100 Freestyle (50.84) and also had the best time in the 100 Fly (55.27) in an exhibition swim. He also placed second in the 100 Back (56.71).

On the women's side, freshman Jane Muldoon (Montrose, Colo./Montrose) picked up wins in the 100 Back (1:09.26) and the 100 Free (1:00.35) and also placed second in the 200 IM (2:40.34).

Both teams will return to action next Saturday when they host Colorado College at 1:00 pm.
