KUMMER EARNS FOUR ALL-AMERICAN HONORS AT
SWIMMING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

ORLANDO, Fla. - Colorado School of Mines junior Travis Kummer (Erie, Colo./Niwot) earned four All-American honors at the 2005 NCAA Division II National Swimming and Diving Championships from Wednesday through Saturday at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, Florida. Rollins College served as the host school.

Kummer's four All-American swims helped Mines to a 20th place team finish.

Kummer began his run by placing seventh in the 200 Individual Medley at Wednesday's finals in 1:53.47. He qualified earlier in the day with the sixth best time (1:52.47).

On Thursday, Kummer placed 15th in the 100 Butterfly (50.63) after qualifying with the 14th best time in the preliminaries (50.45). On Friday, he posted a sixth place showing in the 100 Breaststroke in both the preliminaries (56.97) and the finals (56.97).

Kummer rounded out his run on Saturday night with a seventh place showing in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:04.47. He posted the seventh best time in the preliminaries (2:05.51).

The meet concludes the 2004-05 season for Mines.
