FOUR CSM TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES COMPETE IN CALIFORNIA CALIFORNIA - Four members of the Colorado School of Mines track and field team traveled to California to compete in three different meets on Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16, 2005. Starting things off for the Orediggers was sophomore Ryan Miles (Greta,
Neb./Gretna) in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase at the Pomona-Pitzer
Invitational at Pomona College. Ryan finished the race in school record
time of 9:36.39 and finished sixth overall. In the next race, sophomore,
Larry McDaris (Colorado Springs, Colo./Palmer) ran the 1,500 meters
posting a personal best time of 3:57.78 to finish 26th. McDaris ran in the 1,500-meters and improved his time from Friday
to 3:55.09 just over a second away from the provisional standard of
3:54.00. Finally, Peacock ran in the 400-meters and blazed to vicotry
in an all Division I field with a seasaon and personal best time of
47.05, good enough to solidify his third place standing on the National
