UC - Colorado Springs defeats CSM in three games GOLDEN, Colo. (Nov. 3, 2007) - The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs defeated Colorado School of Mines in three games (30-21, 30-26, 30-26) on Saturday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) volleyball action at Lockridge Arena. For the box score, click here. UCCS's Brooke Akers (.640 hitting %) and Heidi Fehringer each recorded 16 kills while Laura Meeter led all players with 18 digs. Diane Sheldon tallied 13 kills, as well, as the Mountain Lions improved to 18-10 overall (16-3 RMAC). Colorado School of Mines was led by Nicole Leeper, who amassed eight block assists, 16 kills and a .444 hitting % in 36 total attempts (zero attack errors). Kaity Edmiston had nine kills, Tara Schwein registered four block assists and Emily Collett dished out 38 assists. Michelle McElhaney and Celeste Cashel posted 11 and 12 digs, respectively, as the Orediggers finished their 2007 season with an 11-20 overall record (6-13 RMAC). Leeper concludes her career at Colorado School of Mines with 320 block assists, good for second all-time in the CSM record book. In addition, Leeper's 999 career kills ranks her sixth all-time in CSM program history. Cashel wrapped up her four years in an Oredigger uniform with 611 digs and 295 assists. For the box score, click here. Meghan Meehan (three block assists) recorded a match-high 18 kills and amassed a .382 hitting % for Regis University (11-16 overall, 9-10 RMAC). Three other Rangers also reached double figures in kills, including Liz Franz (16), Jessica Howe (11) and Melissa Piazza (11). Devin Eckhardt distributed 52 assists while Kristin Thompson (five service aces) and Hannah Tautolo registered 17 and 16 digs, respectively. Elizabeth Serra-Hsu (.324 at the net, 11 digs) led CSM with 13 kills while Celeste Cashel tallied a team-most 13 digs. Michelle McElhaney had 12 digs, Kaity Edmiston contributed nine kills and Emily Collett (27 assists) led all players with four total blocks. For the box score, click here. Elizabeth Serra-Hsu recorded a team-best 20 kills for the Orediggers, who improved to 11-18 overall. Serra-Hsu also gathered 21 digs while Kaity Edmiston (.375 at the net) recorded 16 kills. Nicole Leeper finished with 15 kills, Emily Collett (three service aces) had 51 assists and Celeste Cashel posted a match-high 25 digs. The Tigers, who came into the match ranked 23rd in NCAA Division III, got a match-high 23 kills from Emily Perkins (.404 hitting %) while Anna Clithero amassed 16 kills and a team-high 20 digs. Colorado College committed 10 service errors while falling to 20-9 overall. (Oct. 26, 2007) The Metropolitan State College of Denver defeated Colorado School of Mines in four games (30-28, 30-25, 29-31, 30-28) on Friday evening in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) volleyball action at the Auraria Events Center. For the box score, click here. Metro State's Julie Green-McFarland led all players with 24 kills while Kelsey Ellis registered a match-best 29 digs. Four other Roadrunners reached double figures in digs, including Bri Ostler, who had 27. MSCD improved to 14-12 overall (12-5 RMAC). CSM's Kaity Edmiston, who recorded a .353 hitting %, had 13 kills and eight block assists. Elizabeth Serra-Hsu (team-high 23 digs) and Nicole Leeper (.308 hitting %) each finished with 14 kills while Celeste Cashel posted 21 digs. The Orediggers Kaity Edmiston, who amassed a .450 hitting % in 20 total attacks, led all players with 12 kills. Celeste Cashel recorded match-highs in digs (15) and service aces (five) while Elizabeth Serra-Hsu (.389 hitting %) finished with eight kills and nine digs. Emily Collett dished out 31 assists as Colorado School of Mines improved to 9-17 overall.
Robyn Kenul led Johnson & Wales in kills (five) and digs (nine). With the loss, the Wildcats dropped to 3-19 overall.

For the box score, click here. The Eagles' Lindsy Heisler recorded a match-high 26 kills and hit .309 at the net in 68 total attacks. Heisler, who also tallied four service aces, added 15 digs and a pair of block assists as Chadron State improved to 9-17 overall and 6-9 in RMAC competition. CSC's Lauren Emory, who compiled a .262 hitting % in 61 total attacks, racked up 23 kills of her own. Jennifer Luatua amassed 38 digs and Jamie Weingart had 69 assists. Kaity Edmiston, who hit .412 (51 total attacks) on Saturday evening, led Colorado School of Mines with 25 kills. For the box score, click here. Nebraska - Kearney, which is currently ranked 22nd in NCAA Division II, got a match-best 20 kills from Nikki Scott. Scott hit .405 at the net for the Lopers, who improved to 22-4 overall (13-2 RMAC). Jeri Walkowiak finished with 18 kills and Cola Svec (12 digs) distributed 69 assists while Shannon Clausen (.429 hitting %, 11 digs) and Erica Burson recorded 17 and 16 kills, respectively. Five Lopers reached double figures in digs, including Kelli Wemhoff, who led all players with 22. For the box score, click here. Elizabeth Serra-Hsu finished with a match-high 17 kills for the Orediggers, who improved to 7-15 overall (4-8 RMAC). Serra-Hsu led CSM with 24 digs while Nicole Leeper (.407 hitting %, four block assists) and Keesha Erickson (.364 hitting %) amassed 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Emily Collett (four block assists) dished out 41 assists and Kirstie Bunting recorded 16 digs as Colorado School of Mines concluded the match with 10.0 total team blocks. For the box score, click here. The Orediggers (6-14 overall, 3-7 RMAC), who finished with 16.0 total team blocks, had four players reach double figures in kills, including Elizabeth Serra-Hsu. Serra-Hsu (.339 at the net, five total blocks) established match-high totals in kills (24) and digs (18). Emily Collett (seven total blocks) contributed 63 assists and seven total blocks while Kaity Edmiston registered 11 kills and eight total blocks. Nicole Leeper (five block assists) and Keesha Erickson recorded 14 and 16 kills, respectively, and Celeste Cashel accounted for 15 digs. (Sept. 14, 2007) - Colorado School of Mines defeated Colorado Christian University in three games (30-24, 30-14, 30-22) on Friday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference volleyball action at Lockridge Arena. For the box score, click here. Kaity Edmiston, who finished with four total blocks, led all players with 11 kills. Tara Schwein (.692 hitting %) and Keesha Erickson (.455 hitting %) each registered 10 kills while Emily Collett (four service aces) dished out 37 assists. Kirstie Bunting amassed a match-high 16 digs, as well, as CSM improved to 4-8 overall (1-2 RMAC). Colorado Christian University (0-12, 0-4 RMAC) got eight kills from Cassie Schott and 12 digs from Julia Maben. Colorado School of Mines will host Metro State on Saturday, September 15th, at 7:00 p.m. at Lockridge Arena. The Orediggers will then embark upon a two-match road trip, playing at Chadron State and Nebraska - Kearney on Friday and Saturday, September 21st and 22nd, respectively. CSM defeats Colorado College in
five GOLDEN, Colo. (Sept. 11, 2007) - Colorado School of Mines defeated Colorado College in five games (19-30, 30-28, 26-30, 31-29, 15-13) on Tuesday night in non-conference NCAA volleyball action at Volk Gymnasium. For the box score, click here. Kaity Edmiston finished with 12 digs, six total blocks (three solo) and a match-high 19 kills for the Orediggers (NCAA Division II). Elizabeth Serra-Hsu compiled 18 kills and 18 digs, as well, as CSM improved to 3-8 overall. Michelle McElhaney and Emily Collett (48 assists, four block assists) recorded 18 digs apiece while Keesha Erickson (nine kills) and Tara Schwein accounted for five and seven block assists, respectively. The Orediggers concluded the evening with 101 total digs and 14.5 total team blocks. Emily Perkins compiled 17 digs and a team-most 15 kills for the Tigers (NCAA Division III), who fell to 6-3 overall. CC's Erika Pirotte (match-high 22 digs) and Michelle Rybka tallied 11 kills apiece in a losing effort. Kaity Edmiston, the most recent RMAC / Baden East Division Player of the Week, compiled 12 kills (team high), 10 digs and seven block assists while Elizabeth Serra-Hsu finished the match with nine kills, four block assists and a team-best 15 digs. Michelle McElhaney added 10 digs and Emily Collett dished out 28 assists as the Orediggers dropped to 2-8 overall (0-2 RMAC). Regis improved to 3-7 overall (1-1 RMAC). Edmiston hit .500 at the net (20 total attacks) and compiled four block assists for CSM, which fell to 2-7 overall (0-1 RMAC). UCCS improved to 4-7 overall (2-0 RMAC).
