New Brain Storming™ Table.
When Ann Lerew (retired CSM Reference Librarian) passed away in May, her friends and family knew that giving to the Arthur Lakes Library was the perfect way to remember her. Thanks to their generosity the Library has an exciting new addition in the Reference Room. Check out the Brain Storming™ Table. With seating for four, the table features a 30 inch rotating dry erase board in the center. This table offers students another space to study together and solve problems through collaboration. Within two hours of the table’s assembly, CSM students Dylan Garrett, Olufemi Fadeyi and Brent Dickinson (L-R) were working out Fluids problems in a whole new way. Their reaction: Very Cool. Check it out for yourself and tell us what you think. Click here to Make an Impact. Mines' students working at Brain Storming table.
We have moved our books.
Our books stacks are now on floors 2, 2M, and 3. Look for call numbers A to HD68 on floor 2, HD69 to QD179 on floor 3, and QD180 to Z on floor 2M.
Looking for a Standard?
Finding only ASTM standards when you need an ANSI? Ask at the reference desk. We will be able to request the standard from the UC Boulder Engineering Library. (Note must be within the disciplines offered at UC Boulder. Sorry no duck hunting decoy standards!)
More Electronic Content!

Materials Research Society (MRS) Online Proceedings
The Library has added online access to the MRS Online Proceedings Library, a database of almost 20,000 peer-reviewed papers presented at MRS Meetings. Content begins with the 2000 Spring Meeting and parts of the 1998 and 1999 Fall Meetings. "View Paper" icon indicates content that is accessible to CSM IP addresses.

American Petroleum Institute (API) Standards
With the assistance of Dr. Eustes in Petroleum Engineering, the CSM campus now has access to API Standards online. The resource is linked from the Library's Database page, under the geoscience and engineering categories. Access is restricted to CSM Students.

API and Information Handling Services (IHS) jointly provide the API Engineering Partnership program to make API Standards more accessible to selected North American engineering schools that prepare students for careers in the oil and gas sector.

Elsevier ScienceDirect Backfiles for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
The Library has added e-access to pre-1995 Elsevier ScienceDirect journals in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. For many of the titles, electronic coverage is from volume 1 to present. Access from ScienceDirect; click the green box in front of a journal name to see subscribed years for that title.
