- Mineral statistics for the years 1881-1923 were issued by the U.S. Geological Survey. The volumes were issued as part of the Annual report of the Geological Survey from 1894 to 1899. After 1924 the U.S. Bureau of Mines assumed responsibility for the mineral statistics.

- The State has maintained production statistics for each County since 1896. From 1967-1971 the report is titled: Summary of Mineral Industry Activity. The name of the Agency became Colorado Division of Mines in 1972.
