Scholarship Description
The National Science Foundation has funded a scholarship program at the Colorado School of Mines with a threefold purpose:
- To recruit both freshmen and graduate students to degrees in either Engineering or Mathematical and Computer Sciences through the appeal of Humanitarian Engineering or Outreach Scientist projects.
- To retain these students through their degrees with the help of several support networks.
- To assist students with career placement upon graduation through a relationship with the CSM Career Center.
Eight undergraduate students will be awarded a maximum of $5000/year toward tuition and six graduate students will be awarded a maximum of $10000/year toward tuition. All awards are based on financial need. All scholarship recipients will be required to complete humanitarian engineering or outreach scientist projects under the direction of a research advisor.
