Applicant Qualifications
Qualifications for all scholarship recipients:
- Must be United States citizen, permanent resident or alien admitted as refugee at the time of application.
- Must be enrolled full-time in Engineering or Mathematical and Computer Sciences degree programs and must maintain full-time status throughout duration of the scholarship.
Qualifications for all Undergraduate recipients:
- Must have financial need that can be verified through the Financial Aid office.
- Must be entering first freshman year in the fall of 2007.
- Must have a high school GPA of at least 3.5.
- Must have an SAT score of at least 1230 or an ACT score of at least 26.
- Must maintain an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 to retain scholarship.
- Must enroll in the Humanitarian Engineering Minor upon acceptance in scholarship program.
Qualifications for all Graduate Recipients:
- Must have financial need, defined by eligibility for Graduate Assistance.
- Must be entering first year of graduate school in the fall of 2007.
- Must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.2.
- Must maintain a graduate GPA of at least 3.0 to retain scholarship.
- Preference will be given to thesis-based students.
- Preference will be given to students that complete course work in the Humanitarian Engineering Ethics program.
