The Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences has a strong emphasis on research, both internally, and collaboratively. Various research groups and centers exist within our department, and faculty also involve undergraduate and graduate students in their research. Research areas within the department include scattering theory, numerical analysis, mathematical finance, symbolic computing, wave propagation, biostatistics, seismic data processing, computer networking, databases, graphics, visualization and mobile computing.
