Materials Science Research Seminars
Fall 2008

The Materials Science Research Seminars are held every Thursday, 4:00 PM, HH 202. Materials Science Grad students are expected to participate and attend these seminars as part of their graduate experience. Interested CSM faculty and the public are also invited to attend. Refreshments served in the classroom prior to the seminar.

Student Welcome and H&S Refresher, Dr. Mishra, Associate MME Department Head, will welcome MME students. Tim Sweitzer, Environmental Health and Safety Manager, will give the H&S Refresher course. Faculty, undergrads, grads, and staff working in the labs must attend. New students must take the full H&S course. Check with H&S for times and places.

Dr. Juan Carlos Madeni, will present "Carbide Stability and Evolution in Cr-Mo Steels Used in Power Generation Plants," a research paper by J.C. Madeni, S. Liu, D. Olson, V. Petr and R. Hellner. Host: Professor David Olson.
