Resources for Grant-Seekers:

If you are ready to put together a grant proposal to obtain equipment for your own classroom/dept./school, you might find some of these links useful. There are many, many funding opportunities out there that are the right size to cover your expenses.

A good place to start is the EducationWorld website for grant-writing tips and links to other helpful sites, including more tips and databases for grants available.

In general, most experts advise starting at the local level, such as your building PTSA. If your price tag is higher than they can fund, perhaps these local organizations would be willing to provide matching funds taht you could leverage as you apply for other grants to meet your needs. Also, think about what niche your school or classroom might fill and target your efforts in those areas.

Some other sites you might peruse for available grants are:

eInstruction.com

SmarterKids.org

TechLearning.com

eSchoolNews.com

GrantsAlert.com

Grants.gov

SchoolFundingServices.org

SchoolGrants.org

Good luck!
