Already Accepted?

Congratulations on your admission to Colorado School of Mines! As an accepted student, there are several steps you need to complete to confirm your planned enrollment.  Below are the steps you need to follow online, but you may also print out a Road Map here:

  1. Student Enrollment Confirmation and DEPOSIT
    Any deposits received after May 1st will result in student being placed on an enrollment waiting list.
     
  2. An informational packet will be mailed to all new enrolling students in late-April to early-May:

  3. All students must complete and return the Tuition Classification FormPDF versionText only version.  Eligibility for in-state tuition?
     
  4. Financial Aid:
    1. All new freshmen applicants, who are U.S. citizens and admitted by March 1st, will be considered for a merit-based scholarship based on academic achievement.  All ACT and SAT test scores must be received by February 1st.

    3. Want to be considered for federal financial aid?  Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - Mines school code:  001348.   (International students are not eligible.)
       
  5. For On-Campus Housing Application and Dining Services information please visit Residence Life
     
  6. Transfer and AP/IB Credit instructions:
    1. Send an official copy of score results to the Office of Admissions if you have taken an Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) exam by mid-July.
    2. Notify the Office of Admissions if you are currently enrolled in college courses or anticipate taking college courses prior to your first semester of enrollment at CSM.
    3. Request that official transcripts be sent to the Office of Admissions if you have completed or will complete any college course work prior to attending CSM.
      1. Not all course work is guaranteed.  To help ensure transfer of credits (math and science), save all course work:  syllabus, graded quizzes and tests, homework assignments, lab work, notebooks, etc.
         
  7. We offer a number of opportunities to further orient you to Mines:
    1. Visit campus for a personal tour, Preview Mines, or Discover Mines.
    2. Summer Orientation Sessions
