Research

Research activities at CSM extend from traditional areas such as mining and geophysical engineering to new frontiers in advanced materials and to experiments in space.

In 2006, CSM received 405 awards for a total of $32,819,682, with more than 40 percent funded by private industry. At Mines, there are many opportunities for undergraduate students as well as graduate students to do cutting-edge research.
