By the time they graduate, about 90 percent of CSM students have a full-time job in their major or have been accepted to graduate school. This kind of success isn’t an accident, and career planning starts early. The CSM Career Center is where that planning starts.
Summer Jobs & Internships
CSM students have a long history of success finding summer jobs and internships. The Career Center helps by developing contacts and scheduling interviews for summer positions and internships. Also, because of their extensive industry contacts, many academic departments assist students in finding work before graduation.
Cooperative Education
The CO-OP Program helps you find off-campus employment that complements your academic work. CO-OP jobs are scheduled during alternative semesters or in conjunction with course work. Employers include large corporations and government agencies throughout the U.S.

Graduate School
(Law, Business, and Medicine)
Many CSM students choose to attend graduate school after completing their undergraduate degree. Most choose to study science or engineering, but others choose law, business, or medicine.

Patent law, as well as water and environmental law, make good use of a CSM education.
An MBA, combined with a CSM degree in science, economics, or engineering, is also a great background for business, especially with manufacturing and technology companies.

In medicine, the math, science, and problem solving learned at CSM suit any specialty. And if you decide not to go to medical school, a CSM education gives you the flexibility of working in a field allied with medicine or specializing in biomedical engineering in graduate school.

If you are interested in medicine, our medical school advisor, Dr. Frank Aldrich, would be glad to talk with you (303-443-2316).

Combined B.S. / M.S. Programs
CSM offers accelerated programs that allow students to complete work for their bachelor's and master's degrees in five years.

Current programs include master's degrees in Engineering and Technology Management, Engineering Systems (either mechanical or electrical), Metallurgy and materials Engineering.

In addition, we also offer a graduate certification program in International Political Economy.
