Mines Announces Two Appointments

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 8, 2007 – Colorado School of Mines announced Molly Williams has been named vice president for institutional advancement and Peter Han has been named senior advisor to the president and chief of staff effective Dec. 1.

Williams currently serves as vice president for university advancement and foundation president at Northern Arizona University. She also has held senior development positions at the University of Wyoming, Denver Botanic Gardens and Mines. 

In his newly created role, Han will oversee several key functions including communications, planning and governmental relations. Han, who currently serves as vice president for institutional advancement, has led Mines' most ambitious fundraising campaign raising more than $135 million for critical scholarships, fellowships, buildings and general support.

Founded in 1874, Colorado School of Mines was established to serve the needs of the local mining industry. Today, the School has an international reputation for excellence in both engineering education and the applied sciences with special expertise in the development and stewardship of the Earth's resources.
