CSM Vehicle Registration

All vehicles parked on the CSM campus must display a CSM issued parking permit.

CSM faculty and staff members who operate or park motor vehicles on the CSM campus are required to register all such vehicles with the Department of Public Safety within ten working days after bringing such vehicles on campus or beginning their employment at CSM.

CSM students who operate or park vehicles on the CSM campus are required to register all such vehicles within seven (7) working days after bringing such vehicles on campus or enrolling in classes at CSM.

The Department of Public Safety will determine the type of permit to be issued either sticker or “hang tag.” “Hang tags” must be displayed by hanging from the rear view mirror inside the vehicle with the front of the tag facing forward. Stickers must be displayed in an upright position on the lower left corner of the rear window of the vehicle or on the left side of the rear bumper of the vehicle. Permits that are not properly displayed are not valid. Mutilation or alteration of permits also invalidates them.

Registration of a motor vehicle does not guarantee a parking place on campus.

The person in whose name a motor vehicle is registered shall be responsible for payment of all parking citations, penalties, and towing fees incurred by such vehicle.
