Coors Brewing Company

Founded in 1873 by Adolph Coors, the brewery today is the
largest single brewery in the world, dominating the Clear Creek valley just east of downtown
Golden. Free tours are offered daily from 10 to 4 except for Sundays and some holidays. Shuttles leave
the parking lot at 13th and Ford Street for tours frequently throughout the day. |

Astor

Built in 1867, the Astor House was
the first stone hotel built west of the Mississippi River and is listed in the
National Register of historic places. It has been restored with early hotel
furnishings and includes a gift shop.

Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum and Grave

This is the resting place for "Buffalo Bill" Cody.
Antique firearms and American Indian artifacts are featured in exhibits in the
Museum adjacent to the gravesite.

Colorado Railroad Museum

The museum was established in 1958 to preserve the history of
the early narrow gauge and other steam railroads in Colorado. The collection
includes more than 50 locomotives, cars, trolleys, etc. and a depot-style
museum. About six times a year, staff members "fire up" a narrow-gauge
engine and attach a few cars on which visitors may ride.

The Museum exhibits extensive mineral collections from all
over the world. There are specimens in the collection that date back to the
1880's, a cave reconstruction, and fossils.
