The city of Golden is located at the mouth of Clear Creek Canyon, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. With more than 300 days of sunshine each year, Golden is a great place to visit or live during any season. Just 13 miles west of Denver, Golden can be reached via I-70 and Colorado Highway 58 or via the 6th Avenue Freeway (US 6). US 6 is a popular route to reach the historic mining towns of Central City and Black Hawk which both offer limited stakes gambling. Denver International Airport is approximately 35 miles east of Golden via I-70. Transporation from DIA to Golden is available by taxi, RTD bus, or shuttle service (Golden West Shuttle - 303-342-9300).



Quick Directions: From I-70: I-70 west to Exit 265. Colorado 58 west to Washington Ave. Left (south) on Washington. From 6th Ave: 6th Ave. West to 19th Street in Golden. Right (east) on 19th to Washington. Left (north) on Washington. From C-470 or I-70 eastbound: C-470 north use left lane for Golden exit. Enter Golden by Johnson Road or left on 6th Ave. to 19th Street. I-70 east use Morrison exit to go north on Colorado 93. It will bend to the right to become Colfax. At the intersection with 6th Ave. turn left to Johnson Road or 19th St. From North (Boulder): Colorado 93 south to Colorado Left (east) on Colorado 58 to Washington Ave. Right (south) on Washington.
