Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory announces research center to advance solar energy technologies

What:              The Center for Revolutionary Solar Photoconversion (CRSP) has been formed by the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory's member institutions – the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder – and industry partners. This solar energy research center will focus on fundamentally new science and technologies to directly convert solar energy into low-cost clean electricity and fuels. CRSP will be dedicated to creating revolutionary new solar energy technologies and education and training opportunities.


When:             10:30 a.m., Monday, April 21

Where:            West Foyer of the State Capital

Who:               Gov. Bill Ritter, U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar, leaders from the Collaboratory's member institutions, industry members of the new center and CRSP directors will speak and be available for questions.
