Colorado Geology Museum Advisory Council

The Museum’s Advisory Council (MAC) was first created in September, 2007, and includes members of the mineral collecting community, our University administration, alumni, and Museum Director. The role of our MAC is to provide guidance to the Museum Director and staff, especially concerning Museum policies and budgeting. Major accomplishments of the MAC have included the creation of the Museum Mission Statement; and establishing standards with respect to conflicts of interest, museum volunteers, donations, hiring staff, acquisitions, museum rentals, and deaccessioning. Admission to the MAC is by unanimous vote of the MAC.
