Graduate School Application Deadlines
We appreciate your interest in our graduate programs at Colorado School of Mines. As you work to meet the following deadlines remember:
A completed application can be different from a submitted application. You can submit your online application without all of the credentials (letters of recommendation, transcripts, test scores, etc.). The Graduate Office will hold your application until we receive all of your credentials. When all credentials have been received your application will be complete and it will be forwarded to the Department for review.
For Spring Admission*:
| October 1 | International student and domestic student deadline to submit online application |
| October 15 | Petroleum Engineering applicants, International and Domestic (application must be complete) |
| November 1 | International student application must be complete (all credentials received) |
| December 20 | Non-degree student deadline to apply*** |
*Please note Chemical Engineering does not accept Spring applications.
For Fall Admission:
| January 15 | Priority consideration for financial support** |
| March 1 | Petroleum Engineering applicants, International and Domestic (application must be complete) |
| March 15 | Geology & Geological Engineering applicants, International and Domestic (application must be complete) |
| May 1 | International student and domestic student deadline to submit online application |
| July 1 | International student application must be complete (all credentials received) |
| August 17 | Non-degree student deadline to apply*** |
** Please note that applying after the January 15 deadline does not mean you cannot receive financial support from a program. It is a priority consideration deadline only.
*** Non-degree applications submitted after the deadline may be subject to a $50 late fee.
Applications submitted for any program on or after the Census Day for that term will not be accepted. Please view the Colorado School of Mines Academic Calendar for relevant dates.
