Tests!!!

First of all, I would like to say that I have finally stopped failing at life, and now my blog will have pictures! Due to a series of mishaps, it was pretty naked before, but no longer. And now back to our scheduled programming…
The last month went by super fast, in part due to all of the tests and quizzes I’ve had lately. I have now taken and survived a test for every class. Go me! I didn’t do as well on calc as I should have, but I was pretty happy with my chemistry score. Hopefully I’ll do pretty well two weeks from now when I have a chem test and a calc test in the same week. I spent a lot of time preparing myself for the fact that I won’t do as well on tests here as I did in high school, and I think that it has helped keep my stress level lower than some of my friend’s. That said, I am happy with what I’ve accomplished here. I’ve put in a lot of work, but still gotten involved in other things like Ultimate Frisbee and SWE. This week marks the end of the first half of the semester. Only eight more weeks to go…

Snow!

This past weekend was homecoming, but I really didn’t go to much of anything. My lack of homecoming attendance had a whole-heck-of-a-lot to do with the fact that it SNOWED. Not just wimp snow, either. I found a pile of snow about four inches thick on my car Saturday morning, and discovered just how much it sucks to try and de-ice your windshields without an ice scraper. After running my car for twenty minutes and feeling ridiculously guilty about the gas I was wasting, I realized that I could use the cover of my Blastercard as a makeshift ice scraper, and the day was saved. I then drove to Walgreens and bought a 99c ice scraper. Winter will be ten times better now.

Birthday fun

Homecoming weekend was also my roommate’s nineteenth birthday. When I bought my ice scraper, I also bought a bag of 100 balloons and threw them all over our room. My roommate came home from her parent’s house and found balloons on the floor, her bed, and stuffed in her closet. After about five minutes, we put all the balloons in a giant pile and started having a balloon fight. I love my roomie. She is my best friend here, and we’re already planning on living together next year. The people who randomly assigned Katie and I in the same room did a good job.
I know this blog is kind of short, but I have a ton of work to finish before Fall Break this weekend. I promise to make the next one better.
