Mines Athletics Facilities

Men’s sports offered at Colorado School of Mines include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming & diving, track & field and wrestling. Women’s sports include basketball, cross-country, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, track & field and volleyball.

Facilities include:

Mines Recreation Center:  Men's and Women's basketball along with volleyball is played in Lockridge Arena. Swiming and Diving is hosted at the Mines Natatorium

Volk Gymnasium:  The Mines wrestling team hosts it home events here and it is also home of the Mines Athletics administration offices. 

Brooks Field:  Home of the Mines football team

Steinhauer Fieldhouse:  The Mines indoor track & field team hosts its home events at Steinhauer Fieldhouse.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Other Facilities include:  Jim Darden Baseball Field, The Mines Softball Field, Tennis courts and the Swenson Intramural Complex

 In June of 2008, the Clear Creek Project began. The project is a three-phase initiative to develop, expand and upgrade the facilities of Mines Athletics. Phase one includes a new soccer stadium and a new track & field facility, phase two is a new 200-space parking lot northwest of Brooks Field and phase three is the replacement of Brooks Field with a new football complex. Phase one of the project is scheduled to be completed Nov. 1, 2008. The Mines soccer teams will play their home matches at Long Lake Ranch Park in Arvada in 2008 due to Clear Creek Project construction.
