Sports Information Director
The 2008-09 season marks Jeff Duggan's fifth overall year as the Sports Information Director at Colorado School of Mines.
Duggan, who previously served as the S.I.D. at Mines from 1997-00, spent the 2006 season as the Director of Media Relations for the Birmingham Barons, the class AA minor-league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
At CSM, Duggan is responsible for the promotion of the 18-sport athletics program through the production of media guides, game programs, press releases, statistics, game notes, schedule cards, posters and the athletics website. Duggan serves as the primary contact for football, volleyball, men’s basketball, wrestling, baseball and golf at CSM.
A 1996 graduate of Regis University (B.A. in Communication), Duggan served as the S.I.D. at his alma mater from 2000-05. During his undergraduate career at Regis, Duggan served for more than three years as the student manager of the sports information office. Duggan, who competed for three seasons (1993-95) on the Rangers’ junior varsity baseball team, went on to earn his master’s degree in Business Administration from Regis University in 2005.
During the summer of 2003, Duggan was selected as the recipient of the RMAC’s second annual J.W. Campbell / Con Marshall Award for excellence and professionalism in the field of sports information. In 2002 and again in 2008, Duggan was selected as a runner-up for the award, which is voted upon by the 14 SID’s in the conference. In 2005, Duggan was presented with the RMAC Shootout Most Valuable Administrator Award for his work at the conference’s annual basketball tournament.
Duggan, who served on Regis University’s Image and Marketing Committee for five years, is currently a member of CSM’s Web Redevelopment Committee. Duggan also serves on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II West Region and National rankings committees.
Duggan, 34, and his wife, Courtney, currently make their home in Littleton.
