Obama campaign holds event at Mines

GOLDEN, Colo., Sept. 15, 2008 – Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign has rented Lockridge Arena in the Student Recreation Center for a community gathering, free and open to the public on Sept. 16. Doors will open at 7 a.m. and the program will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Volunteers will direct attendees to available parking in lots D, E, J and Ford (see mapPDF versionText only version.) Guests are encouraged to use public transportation or carpool. City of Golden parking structures in downtown Golden may be used for this event.

Mines is a non-partisan public institution that takes no position on candidates or ballot initiatives. Classes and campus operations will continue tomorrow as scheduled.
