PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This program, now in its sixteenth year, focuses on current plant practices to convert metal-containing wastes to products. Processors, raw materials, and markets are identified and quantified. Speakers with decades of hands-on experience detail multiple approaches to recycling metals and associated materials - backed up by slides, videos, and the syllabus. .

Particular emphasis is given to combinations of physical, hydrometallurgical, and pyrometallurgical processing, along with associated regulations, to facilitate economical recycling. The presentations are on a practical level, focusing on plant operations, with ample opportunity for interaction by the course participants.

COMMENTS FROM PAST PARTICIPANTS

In terms of meeting and interacting with the industry, three days here are worth at least six months of office / business travel contacts.

Al Hardies, Mgr. Raw Material Acquisition & Sales, INMETCO, Ellwood City, PA

Every year I find many things to take back and implement into our system. The contacts help find new product that can be recycled.

Mike Cornwell, Asst. Superintendent Reclamation, Haynes International, Kokomo, IN

A collection of experts form all over the world. This is the most valuable conference that I attend each year

Tom Cobett, R&D Manager, OmniSource Corp., Fort Wayne, IN

This meeting was expertly created, and very enjoyable to attend. I look forward to returning next year.

Chuck Merigold, Owner, Contech International, Tucson, AZ

Year after year this meeting continues to be the most important event anyone in metals reclamation can attend. It should be required by any company wanting to move forward in metals reclaiming.

Mike Harbert, National Sales Manager, ECS Refining, Fort Worth, TX

A perfect setting; a lot of focused contacts; I hope you will continue doing this meeting a long time.

Sybolt Brower, Raw Materials Manager, Umicore U.S.A., Hoboken, Belgium
