Short Courses and Conferences

The SPACE Office provides opportunities for working professionals to upgrade their technical job skills and remain abreast of recent developments in their respective fields of interest.

Short courses provide concentrated instruction in specialized areas and are typically taught by one individual or a small cadre of highly trained professionals. Most courses are taught by CSM faculty members. Several offerings are taught by independent consultants and other professionals, thus bringing to the program specialized industrial knowledge and skills.

The SPACE Office also hosts several professional conferences throughout the year. Past conferences have included:

  • Third International Symposium on Mine Mechanization and Automation
  • Seventh International Conference on Fluid Properties and Phase Equilibria for Chemical Process Design,
  • Rocky Mountain Symposium on Environmental Issues in Oil and Gas Operations
  • Fifteenth International Conference on Ground Control in Mining
  • Fifth International Conference on Semi-Solid Processing of Alloys and Composites

For short course and/or conference information or information about policies and procedures related to offering short courses, contact the SPACE Office.
