Research at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) plays an integral role in the educational process of our students, both undergraduate and graduate.  Students gain from their professors' continual quest for new knowledge through research and from the direct "hands-on" experience of working on specific projects.  Through research, CSM continues to maintain and build its recognized base of technical excellence and its commitment to solving "real-world" problems.
