The mission of the Minority Engineering Program (MEP) at the Colorado School of Mines is to graduate ethnic minorities in the areas of Math, Science, and Engineering. MEP was established on the Mines campus in 1989. Since our inception we have been dedicated to the MEP mission and we have seen the program blossom into an integral part of the Mines community.

Each year MEP offers a variety of activities and programs for our current students and our future students. We evaluate our programs on a yearly basis with the desire to create the best possible environment for success for our students. We at MEP not only work to help our students to become great engineers, scientists, economists, professors, or whatever profession they choose to pursue, we also work to help them become great people.
