Judging Criteria for Awards 2007

Points Possible
  1. General Presentation Planning, Organization, and Design
    1. Student’s two-minute oral summary and response to questions (2)
    2. Clear flow of the various elements from the beginning to end (3)
    3. Easy to view 5’ to 10’ away; text contributes, yet is concise and brief (2)
    4. Eye-catching, visually pleasing, absence of any typos and errors (3)

  1. General Components of the Poster Presentation
    1. Abstract or equivalent, should be a concise statement of purpose (2)
    2. Body, may include background, methods, results, analysis (2)
    3. Graphic images, includes key charts, graphs, tables, maps, photos (3)
    4. Conclusion that states main idea, findings, any new interpretations (1)
    5. Acknowledgements of review and financial assistance (1)
    6. References (1)
